After a long hiatus, Cookery is back! When we first launched, Cookery partnered with local Houston chefs and area farms to deliver hot, ready-to-eat meals to area residents and businesses. We listened to the valuable feedback from our customers and have returned with a few tweaks—okay, a lot of tweaks! We really think you’ll enjoy the fresh concept we’re rolling out, but first: Let’s talk about YOU.
From speaking with our early customers, we learned a few things:
- You’re proud of your home and love to entertain friends but would rather spend time with them than be stuck in the kitchen. And you really don’t want to be stuck with the dishes that remain after a good dinner party.
- Many of you want to learn how to cook cuisines from across the globe, maybe inspired from your recent travels.
- You want to enjoy home-cooked meals but don’t have time to do all the shopping, cooking and cleanup involved.
- You’d love to make these things happen with just a few clicks.

This time around, Cookery is bringing the chefs to you. As always, Cookery’s goal is to connect passionate chefs and hungry foodies, but now those chefs will join you in your own kitchen. No matter the occasion, we want to provide customers with access to talented Houston chefs without leaving the comforts of home.
Gourmet at home
Eating out is fun, but sometimes you simply crave a home-cooked meal at, well, home. After all, the freshest, most wholesome meals are often those that come straight from the family kitchen to your table… at least they can be. When working with a Cookery chef, you’ll know the ingredients, which are outlined in the menus you choose. The chefs have a commitment to shopping for the highest quality organic and all-natural ingredients and you’ll know where they shopped. You’ll know where and how each dish is prepared because it all happens right there in your kitchen. And for your peace of mind, all Cookery experiences are insured.
Who are our chefs?
All the chefs featured on Cookery are passionate about creating exceptional food experiences, from nourishing weekday meals to fun, informative cooking classes to lavish dinner parties. They cook because they love to share their love of food and look forward to sharing their skills with you.
Our chefs are fully vetted and undergo a thorough background check before joining Cookery. When they are not cooking for you, they’re running their own restaurants and catering businesses, teaching culinary arts to students or writing cookbooks!
These culinary pros have joined up with Cookery to provide their services in three ways: preparing delicious meals for intimate dinner parties, leading private, hands-on cooking classes or preparing daily meals.
How it works
Head on over to Cookery to browse the various menus being offered by your local chefs. You can also check dates when each chef is available to work with you. Once you choose a menu you like, simply select a date and book the kitchen experience. Soon after you book, you’ll be contacted to confirm the order.
On the day of the booking, the chef shops and arrives at your home with everything needed to create a meal, event or cooking class. The bonus: After cooking, the chef cleans up before leaving. Your only job: Enjoy the experience with your family and friends!
